Some Public Works Examples of Preschool Parent Activities

Is your child thirsty for knowledge? Then come and enroll them for our Public Works classes at Brooklyn’s Preschool of Business. Our lessons aim to give kids aged between 2 to 5 an introduction to the multifaceted world of public works and how the subject can benefit kids.

This class was also developed to provide parents with activities that they can do with kids relevant to our classes. Our course includes little-known facts about the different categories of public works, such as water. We provide great little tidbits to discuss with children, such as The average American family uses 400 gallons of water every day, which is equivalent to taking 10 baths!

This piece of information may surprise you, but we can also help you encourage your child to take part in activities that can help lower your water usage. Here are just a few activities you can do together to get your kids to save water:

● Turning off the tap: Doing this can save as much as 4 to 8 gallons of water.

● Taking a shower instead of a bath: A shower only takes up 10 to 25 gallons, while a bath can consume as much as 70 gallons.

● Fixing leaks around the house: Fixing a toilet leak can save you as much as 200 gallons of water. You can also try an experiment to find out if you have a toilet leak by dropping food coloring on the toilet tank.

● Replace the hose with a sponge and bucket: A hose can easily use up to 6 gallons a minute while using sponges and a bucket for cleaning will only use up a few gallons.

● Use water-efficient landscaping: Instead of watering your yard in the middle of the day, try watering early in the morning instead.
